Mathieu Savary helps investors understand the forces shaping the global economy and their implications on markets around the world. He concentrates on the evolution of policy risk, liquidity, capex cycles, political dynamics, and the architecture of the global monetary system to identify opportunities and threats for investors' portfolios.
Mathieu leads BCA's global fixed income, currency, and commodity coverage. He synthesizes a large array of economic and financial forces and works closely with the vast array of expertise found at BCA Research to help investors position their portfolios across global bond markets, identify currency opportunities, evaluate the outlook for global natural resources prices.
Prior to his current role, Mathieu ran BCA's European investment team and FX team. He also led the Bank Credit and Daily Insights publications. Prior to joining BCA Research in 2012, Mathieu worked on the buy-side, at Brandywine Global, where he contributed to the global macro team. Mathieu has two decades of global macro analysis experience and is a regular contributor in media wroldwide.
Mathieu holds a BCom in finance and economics from McGill University and is a CFA chartholder.
