In under a year, on 3 January 2018, MiFID II will come into effect transforming how research is produced, purchased, used and valued.
Asset Managers will be required to set pre-agreed budgets for research payments, provide detailed audit trails of payments made to research providers, disclose transparent methodologies as to how they select and pay for research, and demonstrate the value of research services purchased.
