Chief Strategist and Economic Advisor

Martin is currently BCA’s Chief Strategist and Economic Advisor. Since joining BCA in 1987 he worked as Managing Editor of The Bank Credit Analyst, the firm’s flagship service, for 18 years. His analysis of the economic and financial outlook is widely followed around the world and he is known for research on a broad range of subjects. Prior to BCA, Martin spent 10 years as Chief International Economist with Wood Mackenzie and five years as an economist with British Petroleum. He is a member of the Conference of Business Economists and the Montreal and Victoria CFA Societies. Martin holds an economics degree from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.
