Harvinder Kalirai, Chief Strategist

Harvinder Kalirai joined BCA in 2008 as Chief Strategist of BCA's Foreign Exchange Strategy. From 2007 – 2008 he was Head of Currency Management at CIBC Global Asset Management, where he was responsible for setting currency exposure for all active currency mandates. Previously he held various positions at State Street Global Markets from 2000 – 2007, including Senior Macro Strategist (London), Head of Currency Research, Asia-Pacific (Sydney), and Senior Strategist (Boston). Mr. Kalirai was a Senior Economist at IDEA (New York) from 1996 – 2000, and an Analyst at the Bank of Canada (Ottawa) from 1995 to 1996. He has a M.A. (Economics) and Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from McGill University. Harvinder is also a CFA charterholder.
